Multi-band, 5 Watt Indoor DAS Remote Node Will Address Bandwidth Crunch for Multi-Operator iDAS Deployments
May 21, 2013 Cypress, CA – BTI Wireless, a leading provider of high-power DAS solutions for indoor and outdoor networks, is launching a new 5W multi-band MIMO-ready Remote Node for its popular mBSC™ line of indoor Distributed Antenna System (DAS) products at CTIA Wireless 2013 in booth number 2328.
The new mBSC-CM 5W Remote Node supports up to 5 frequency bands across a single fiber, with a second fiber available for MIMO or public safety bands. The compact 19” rack-mount housing holds up to eight 5W bi-directional amplifiers, enabling flexible SISO or MIMO configurations. Integrated commissioning tools simplify the set-up and optimization of the end-to-end system through an intuitive new element management system.
“The 5-watt per band power level will provide unprecedented flexibility for service providers of multi-operator indoor DAS systems to add bandwidth and capacity as data requirements continue to escalate”, said Ron Poulin, VP of Sales and Marketing for BTI Wireless. “Combining medium-power for interior areas with high-power nodes for adjacent and below-ground coverage is critical in today’s DAS deployments, and BTI Wireless provides leading products in both categories.”
The mBSC-C indoor DAS solution, with high-power 20W and compact 5W Remote Nodes is an ideal solution for commercial, institutional, campus and public venues.
Meetings and product demonstrations will be held at the BTI Wireless booth (#2328).
